Abstract
Mechanisms for intermittent motion and force transmission, termed indexing mechanisms, find extensive applications in industry. Mechanisms of this kind for motion transmission between parallel axes, such as the Geneva mechanism and external and internal indexing cam mechanisms, have been studied in the past (Guoxun, Zhengyang and Huimin 1988).
