Abstract
Protrusion of the globe, lid hematoma, dense corneal edema and ocular hypotonia by ultrasound caused considerable difficulties in examining the ocular and adnexal structures of a newborn infant after forceps delivery. Standardized A-scan echography proved to be decisive for diagnosis.
