Abstract
What’s good about the future is that we won’t have to wait very long for it. We are seeing a number of health sciences libraries in the United States that seem to have already arrived in the twenty first century. What is it that sets these libraries apart? Is it money, creativity, or management skills? Or is it the demands of the health care researchers and providers at the institutions these libraries serve? My theory is that the only right answer is yes - to all four factors, each working together to bring about progress and bring it about quickly.
