Abstract

Improvement of information retrieval process in small research libraries in Eastern Europe depends to a great extent on the wide use of modern high information technologies by trained individual scientists. Obviously, the elaboration of a detailed management programme of user education of the electronic versions of ISI® „Current Contents“ presents an important task for reference librarians. This paper describes the experience with education and training of scientists and students in the Library and Information Service (LIS) at the Medical University of Varna (MUV), Bulgaria, as individual users of „Current Contents on Diskette“ (CCOD) and „Current Contents on Diskette with Abstracts“ (CCODAB), respectively.
