Abstract
Many biomedical academi libraries have an established tradition of training users. There is a significant literature on the subject, much of it from the United States. Papers by Branch in the US and Hepworth in the UK contain good recent discussions of the topic since the development of end-user training programmes has become of major importance, reflecting the librarian’s changing role.
