Abstract

The sorption mechanism and diagnostic equations for uptake and binding of metal ions by ion exchange sorbentst parti-cularly by those with complex-forming functional groups was studied by numerous authors and contradictory opinions were expressed. In papers published the equations based on quasi-homogeneous model of the sorbent were used in majority of cases.
