Abstract

11C-L-methionine can be used for the early assessment of therapy effects in patients suffering of gliomas. In this respect, we developed a specific method of delineation of tumoral region, compatible with intersubject variations, and studied the influence of hemodynamic parameters on 11C-L-methionine uptake. Modifications of tumoral volume seems a better index than changes of tracer uptake for treatment evaluation benefits.
