Abstract

Successful companies are using a potent mix of low cost variety and fast response time to beat competition. The Japanese have established their supremacy by reducing time in all aspects (Stalk and Hout, 1990), including sales and distribution, manufacturing, design and development. By developing strategies which focus on time reduction, great benefits can be achieved.
