Abstract
We obtained a near infrared survey of the Galactic center and detected a ring-like structure of the obscuration surrounding the Galactic nucleus. We present an infrared color map of the Galactic center, which clearly shows the distributions of the dust clouds. The heavy extinction of the Galactic disk spreads within 2 degree along the Galactic equator, and is typically 14 mag at visible wavelength. We present the luminosity distribution of the central region of the Galaxy and the distribution of dense dark clouds around the Galactic nucleus.
