Abstract

A modelling concept is presented which covers the material behaviour of asphalt. Including evolutional terms in the constitutive equations for fatigue damage, the non-linear behaviour is described by a time-dependent model for visco-plastic material behaviour. The corresponding analysis of stresses and strains for an asphalt road structure applies the finite-element-method. In each iteration step the non-stationary temperature distribution is computed independently followed by the analysis for stresses and displacements.
