Abstract
Extensive observations of A2163, both in the optical and X-ray bands, are reported. The cluster displays a high temperature, gas and total mass as well as a strong optical luminosity and a large galaxy content and velocity dispersion. There is some evidence that this cluster is in a non-relaxed state.
