Abstract

There are three main technical options available for the removal of atrazine and its related compounds (e.g. simazine, bentazone, etc.) from groundwaters; these are:

  1. (a)

    Adsorption onto activated carbon;

  2. (b)

    Chemical oxidation (e.g. with ozone);

  3. (c)

    Filtration through membranes (e.g. reverse osmosis).
