Abstract
The oil and fodder plant genebank station in Malchow/Poel comprises 16.742 accessions, mainly of the Gramineae, Leguminosae and Cruciferae. Since 1992 it belongs to the Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) Gatersleben. The establishment of the collection began in the early 1970s on the basis of breeding activities. The material includes wild species and landraces, as well as breeders lines and cultivars, both from Germany and abroad.
