Abstract

The paper is devoted to the results of experimental research on the measurements of acoustic cavitation thresholds in ocean water. Different cavitation nuclei determining the tensile strength of ocean water are analyzed. Acoustic methods for measuring acoustic cavitation thresholds in ocean water are described. The results of acoustic cavitation threshold measurements are presented for the water of the Atlantic Ocean, the Arctic Ocean and some other regions of the World ocean.
