Abstract
Chromogranin A is an acidic polypeptide of 49 kDa with a pl of 4.9 comprising 439 aminoacid residues. Chromogranin A has been identified in many normal and neoplastic endocrine tissues, and elevated serum levels have been demonstrated in association with phaeochromocytoma, carcinoid tumours, neuroblastoma, and small cell carcinomas of bronchus.
