Preservation of inorganic systems

  • Chapter
Preservation of Surfactant Formulations

Microbiological contamination is prevalent in inorganic mineral processing where the mineral is either processed or sold as an aqueous suspension. Severe contamination can seriously affect processing and product quality. Because processing inorganic minerals generally requires suspension of the mineral in aqueous media, microbiological growth must be controlled.
