Abstract
The single purpose of strategy is to enable the business to gain a sustainable edge over the competition by satisfying customer requirements more effectively. The implementation of strategy is therefore about improving the performance of the company in key areas relative to that of its competitors. To make sure this happens there needs to be a clear and well thought out link between a company’s strategy and its operational improvement programme.
