Abstract
The diary is just that, a summary of the daily activities of the birddog. It can be as terse or verbose as he pleases but it should contain, besides a description of his movements, information about any events or particular conditions that may be of interest to the client either immediately or in the future, supposing that he wants to undertake more work in the same area. This information might cause him to modify his ideas about such work.
