Abstract

The party chief, or party manager, is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the seismic crew. The birddog should not interfere with it, unless some aspect is going seriously wrong. However, there is one aspect in which he must be involved. That is in the choice of the order in which the lines comprising the survey are to be recorded.
