Abstract
Carbonyl insertion into an M-R bond, which is also called migratory insertion, (equation 1) has been implicated as one of the key steps in various catalytic cycles such as hydroformylation [1]. When the migrating groups are alkyl, aryl, and alkenyl, insertion has been observed to take place in many transition metal complexes [1].
