Abstract
In Indonesia, there is a saying that the number of uses of the coconut palm is equal to the number of days in the year. An old South Pacific proverb says:
“He who plants a coconut palm, plants food and drink, vessels and medicine, a habitat for himself and a heritage for his children.”
