Abstract

It is a pleasure and an honour to give the opening address at such an important congress of the European Business Ethics Network. Having said that, I have to admit that this does not come easy to me at the present moment, right after the international conference on global population in Cairo. Because here I stand as a Catholic theologian, being asked to speak about world politics and world ethos, but feeling compromised by the presentation of religion during just this world conference. So, unfortunately, I cannot avoid a critical positioning.
