Abstract
In January 1989, the High Energy Astrophysics Division of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory established an on-line service to help astronomers prepare ROSAT proposals by providing access to the preliminary source list from the IPC (Imaging Proportional Counter) catalog project of the Einstein Observatory. Since then, we have added many more source tables (including ground based data), and provided access to Einstein images for downloading. The user interface provides easy access to extensive documentation and several options for search and retrieval.
