Abstract
Observations of the AM Her system BL Hyi covering the wavelength range 0.9 to 2.5 µm were made on 1992, Oct 5 using the IRIS instrument on the 3.9m Anglo-Australian Telescope. During these observations, cyclotron emission harmonics were detected near 1.25, 1.60 and 2.20µm. To interpret these data, we have adopted the linearly extended cyclotron emission region models of Ferrario and Wickramasinghe (1990).
