Abstract

In this paper, some recent results were summarily reviewed on structural characteristics of the nanocrystalline materials synthesized by crystallizing amorphous alloys completely. It includes the morphologies, structures, defects, and the thermodynamic properties of the nanophases and interfaces in various nanocrystalline materials, which were investigated by means of the high resolution electron microscopy (HREM), x-ray diffraction techniques, positron annihilation spectroscopy, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), respectively. Emphases were given on the interfacial defects and the lattice structure of the nm-sized crystallites.
