  • Chapter
Organ Shortage: The Solutions

Part of the book series: Transplantation and Clinical Immunology ((TRAC,volume 26))

Abstract

The relationship between the media and organ shortage and, more precisely, between the media and organ shortage is complex. First, examples illustrating the different ways in which the media can influence organ donation will be examined. Secondly, the general effects of and laws regarding the media and society will be exposed and, thirdly, suggestions will be considered regarding how these laws permit to explain population’s attitude toward organ donation and transplantation and how to improve organ shortage.
