Abstract
Chapter 6 and Chapter 11 were devoted to the two possible methods of description of nonequilibrium processes in a rarefied gas. The first of these is based on the kinetic Boltzmann equation, and the second on the equations of gas dynamics. The latter were derived from the approximate solution of the kinetic equation using perturbation theory in small Knudsen number. As a result, we constructed a closed theory for describing nonequilibrium processes on all scales.
