Abstract

The present paper aims at giving a survey of the status of medical information services in Estonia and at Tartu University in particular. Some background information about the Republic of Estonia will be given as well as data about the Medical Faculty of Tartu University (TU). The paper will focus on the role of TU Library in establishing and development of an information base for medical training and scientific research and the problems of creating and maintaining an efficient system of communication.
