Abstract
This paper brings together the results of three distinct activities in the study of individual molecules on semiconductor surfaces:
-
1.
An experimental study by UHV STM in which molecules can be imaged one at a time on the surface of interest;
-
2.
A statistical analysis of the STM images to determine the effect of the occupation of neighbouring sites on the probability of adsorption;
-
3.
Ab initio theoretical modelling of the geometrical and electronic structure of adsorbed molecules.

These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
