Competitive Equilibrium in a Market with Limited Cooperation

  • Chapter

Abstract

The well-known notion of competitive equilibrium (cf. [1], [2], [3]) can be defined in rather modificated way, which enables us to study more analogies between the competitive equilibrium and some game-theoretical bargaining solutions. These analogies were investigated in author’s contribution at “Computing Equilibria: How and Why?” Conference, July 1974, Toruṅ, Poland. The presented paper is devoted to a particular problem connected with that field, how the modified concept of equilibrium depends on the form of the coalitions class which is respected in its definition. It means, how the set of equilibrial market states changes if we consider different classes of coalitions being relevant from the point of view of the equilibrium determination.
