Standardisation, Inspection and Accreditation in Australia
It should be recognised that a satisfactory standard of manufacture depends on the degree of conformity of a particular article or product with the design as described by a drawing, written specification or other standard. The article may be a can of paint, or it may be a motor vehicle or it might be a drawing pin. For the article to be acceptable, not only must it comply with the specification, but the specification itself must also be appropriate.
