Abstract
During the past few decades, haematology has evolved into a broad-based science that encompasses a variety of disciplines such as immunology, genetics, biochemistry, nuclear medicine, physical chemistry and cell biology. As a result the evaluation of a patient for a haematological problem may include procedures that range from the single to the complex.
