Abstract
Acne is a common disease of the sebaceous glands and ducts, affecting mainly the face, trunk and shoulders, and occurring mostly in adolescents, but in some cases persisting into late middle age. Rarely it occurs in the first 2 years of life, tending to fade by the age of 5.
