Water Relations of Plants in Experiments with Heavy Isotope O18

Water Stress in Plants

Abstract

Definite progress in the problem of the entry of water into a plant and its distribution in the organs of a plant has been achieved in a number of countries in the last five years due to the application of labelled water (Vartapetyan and Kursanov 1959, Hübner 1960aHübner 1960b, Ducet 1960 and Vandewalle 1960, Vartapetyan 1960a, Ordin 1961 and Gairon 1961, Hübner 1961 and Wetzel 1961, Biddulph, kакауата and Cory 1961, Vartapetyan 1961 and Kursanov 1961 and others).
