Abstract

For the study of water deficit in plants it is of importance to determine the changes in transpiration in the course of the day and in the course of the vegetation period. In our previous papers we have tried to solve these question of changes in the transpiration of certain irrigated and non-irrigated plants (Penka 1953aPenka 1953b, c, Penka 1956, Penka 1963; Penka et al. 1955, Penka 1960,1962; Srb et al. 1960, etc.). As most of our ejeperiments had been carried out in field conditions, we performed analogous earperiments in greenhouse conditions, in order to avoid possible errors.
