Abstract
On May 1, 1963 a Véronique Rocket was fired at Hammaguir (Sahara) by the French “Centre National des Études Spatiales”, which carried electronic equipment, developed for the measurement of physical parameters of the upper atmosphere by three groups: (1) the “Laboratoire de Physique de l’Atmosphère”, Paris; (2) the French “Commissariat a l’Énergie Atomique”; and (3) the “Ionospharen Institut” Breisach, Germany.*
