Abstract

These dermatophytes are not endemic in Czechoslovakia. Only the species M. ferrugineum has been isolated here, which was mostly in connection with Korean children, brought to live in Czechoslovakia (Langer1953, Manych 1966 and Kejda 1966). Hejtmanek (1957) published an interesting comparative study of six strains of M. ferrugineum. All descriptions of anthropophilic dermatophytes which do not attack animals were taken from the literature and from the results of our studies of numerous strains obtained from various laboratories.
