The Theory of Definition
It may cause some surprise that the theory of definition is presented in the last Chapter of this book and not, in accordance with a long tradition, in its first Chapter. Although various methodological concepts have already been explained along with our treatment of formalized logic and arithmetic, a brief survey of the principles of methodology will not be out of place.
