Abstract

Up until now, we have spoken of neutral or ionized gases, the gravitational field, the magnetic field, and solar radiation. We have still to consider the fragments of solid matter which do not belong to the Earth, but which it continually encounters in its journey around the Sun. We are speaking, as the reader may have guessed, of meteorites.
