Abstract

The appraisal of man’s character culminates in the language of virtue and vice. Before proceeding to the exposition of this language in some detail, we may pause to trace some of the connections between moral judgment, as outlined in 5.0, and appraisal in the foregoing sections of Part Two. The theory of virtue and vice provides a link between the two.
