Abstract
A great variety of subjects has been discussed in the lectures of this course, yet they represent only part of the many aspects of modern galactic research. They have, however, emphasized those fields upon which nowadays most of the attention is focussed. For those among the participants —for instance the students of physics — who might wish to become more acquainted with present trends in galactic research the following references to recent or forthcoming literature may be useful.
