Grinding Circuit Control

  • Chapter
Book cover Mineral Processing

Abstract

This chapter is concerned with the routine control of the closed circuit in the wet-grinding section of the plant. Sampling control, as designed to check the state of the pulp at critical stages in its treatment and end- product disposal, is discussed more fully in Chapter 23. Control of the closed circuit has three aspects:

  1. (a)

    Immediate running control.

  2. (b)

Long-term quality control, as it affects assay grades.

  3. (c)

Capacity control, which considers wear rates and economic throughput.
