Abstract
No doubt there were pedagogues between Socrates and Comenius, but whatever they have done, Comenius is the first who attracts our attention, who wrote more on pedagogics than anybody before him and who has hardly been outstripped in productivity by anyone since.
The best way to teach an activity is to show it.
Joyfully he jumped out of the bathtub and naked he ran home, announcing aloud that he had found what he had searched for. Indeed while running he exclaimed: Eureka! Eureka!
