Abstract

Waves play a fundamental role in many processes occurring in the solar wind and in the magnetosphere. These waves have been observed by a variety of experiments on many different spacecraft and analyzed with an increasing number of different techniques. In this review, we examine a number of the recent observations of waves in space, discussing the role of waves in the various regions and their characteristics, and illustrating some of their techniques used in their analysis.
