Abstract
Through the work of modern [mathematical] physicists and logicians1 the clarification of the probability concept as used in empirical science has reached a high degree of perfection. Some questions, however, concerning the form of probability statements as well as their meaning are still under discussion2. Therefore it may be of some interest to investigate what contribution to the solution of these problems can be obtained by the logical analysis of a theory the fundamental laws of which are probability laws.
