Abstract

Not many years ago it was easy to survey in an hour the observational contacts of general relativity because there was only a handful of experiments. In recent years the advances in experimental technique have made many interesting effects measurable, and today the increasing effort and possibilities in experimental gravitation parallel the great upswing of interest in theoretical gravitation which began two decades ago.
