Neutralization of Industrial Waste Waters by Lime

  • Rudolf Rychlý

Abstract

Lime is by far the most widely used neutralizing agent for industrial acidic waste waters. It is important, however, that the by-product, i.e. gypsum, can be used too. On laboratory experiment results with crystallization of gypsum, the chemical and physical parameters for an ideal by-product formation is discussed.
