Abstract
The material of this book represents only a beginning, the beginning of a theory. It is sufficiently well developed to provide a new framework for the four problems of Coding Theory. But it is a long way from being adequate enough to generate codes with pre-assigned properties. It may be unreasonable to demand such behavior for Coding Theory regardless of its stage of sophistication. It would be pleasant, however, to have such facility.
