Abstract

In this talk this morning, I would like to discuss a model aimed at explaining the variation of structure of the Crab Nebula with frequency and the shape of the integrated nebular spectrum. I shall first summarise the observations of the nebular structure starting at the low frequency end of the spectrum and then go progressively towards the X-rays (Section 2) and after that discuss the model proposed (Section 3). Section 4 considers predictions of the model and Section 5 problems for future investigation.
