Abstract
I have been asked to preface the discussion with some brief comments concerning the theme, ‘the activity and passivity of consciousness in the work of Edmund Husserl’. After the presentation of these comments, I should like to call on Professor Tymieniecka, in view of the fact that Professor Barral’s presentation has given a good deal of attention to the former’s own thinking on the topic. After that, the floor will be open to general discussion.
